EXHIBITIONS

Here I have a compilation of some gallery exhibitions that I have been, or currently am a part of, either as an artist or curator or both.

BEAUTIFUL THINGS, 2024
held at Hawa Mahal, Visakhapatnam
My first solo exhibition titled "Beautiful Things," was a captivating display celebrating the beauty of the everyday.
This showcase brought together three distinct series of artworks, highlighting the magic of creativity and the joy found in life’s simple pleasures.

HIRA MOTI

"Hira" means diamond and "Moti" means pearl in Hindi. This series of mixed media paintings captures both glamour and playfulness, with rhinestones (for hira) and plastic pearls (for moti) sparkling across the canvas. The placement of the beads and rhinestones in dynamic lines give a sense of movement and energy. Inspired by my work as a jewellery artist, I created these pieces to celebrate the unapologetic material objects, existing solely to delight.

WOMEN IN WINDOWS

This series of acrylic paintings invites you to a serene world of quiet moments. Each piece captures tender moments when reading or sipping tea, reminding us to slow down and appreciate the beauty in everyday moments and to find happiness in the stillness of the present and cherish the gentle moments we often overlook.

I use bold outlines and simple block colours, to pay homage to my drawings I used to make as a child and to revisit a time when life was carefree and uncomplicated.

COLLABORATIVE ACRYLIC POURS

This series of acrylic pour artworks intends to capture the liberating freedom of creative expression, where the journey takes more importance over the outcome. Each piece showcases a mesmerising flow of colours that blend and harmonise in unexpected ways.

As the paint spreads across the canvas, all sense of control disappears, making it a meditative, therapeutic experience.

What makes this series collaborative is that I invited my social media followers to choose a colour palette for one painting each and used the palette that seemed to be aesthetically sound. In addition to that, the person whose colour palette was chosen for a work has named the painting that they have inspired, adding a personal touch and infusing the artwork with their essence.
